In this six-week workshop, we will explore tools and techniques to enhance any poets performance skills. For new and seasoned poets alike, no previous experience is needed. Each session builds on the one before with a multi-media approach to composing, organizing and reciting poetry.
Exercises will include composing poetry to music; watching a diverse selection of spoken word artists; tricks and tools to engage an audience with stage presence; peer feedback and the opportunity to perform a developed piece in front of a live audience.
