DROP-IN WORKSHOP is The Cabin’s free and open writing workshop, held from 6:30-8:00 PM on the first Tuesday of each month. Drop-in is hosted by alternately by writers Danny Stewart and Heidi Kraay who create unique prompts designed to inspire a supportive community of local writers.
Heidi Kraay’s solo and co-devised plays include How To Hide Your Monster, SuperSecretSiteSpecificSomething, New Eden and DIRT, which attempt to connect us through the understanding that it's hard being human. Daniel Stewart, a teaching-writer for The Cabin’s Writers in the Schools and Summer Writing Camps since 1999, has authored a collection of poems, The Imaginary World. A variety of print and online publications featured his poems, including Educe, Lonesome Fowl, Puerto Del Sol, Prairie Schooner, Rattle, and Thrush, among others. Recent work appeared in the anthologies REDUCE and Thrush Poetry Journal: an anthology of the first two years, and is forthcoming in the journal Sixfold.
