Event Navigation

Meets daily August 7-11. This weeklong camp is for kids entering 6th – 9th grades. Camp meets Monday through Friday from 9am – 12 pm each day. During the last half-hour of camp on Friday, family and friends are invited to The Cabin for lemonade and a public reading of student writing.

Write Boise through a journalist’s lens.

Immerse yourself in the journalist’s life to learn about the different ways nonfiction writers can tell a story. You’ll visit nearby cultural attractions, parks, and Boise’s downtown in search of community events and information. The Cabin’s resident journalist will provide the writing tools you need to chronicle your findings in op-ed pieces, blog posts, and hard-hitting news reports.
