The Prose Poem/Micro-Essay/Short Short Story with Kerri Webster SOLD OUT

January 26 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Event Navigation

Calling all writers for a cool new MIXED genre workshop with Kerri Webster!

This six-week workshop will meet on Thursdays January 26th, Feb. 2nd, Feb. 9th, Feb. 16th, Feb. 23rd, and March 2nd at The Cabin from 6:30-8:30pm

John Donne said that the self is a “little world made cunningly.” So’s the well-written piece. In this workshop, we’ll focus on “little,” so to speak, crafting prose poems, short-short stories, and micro-essays of 300 words or less. (Don’t know what a prose poem is? No worries!) Students of ALL THREE genres are welcome, and can write in whichever genre they choose, or switch between them. We’ll write and workshop each week, looking at plenty of published pieces to fuel and inspire us. Our central question: how to write something complete and impactful in such a short space? All levels of experience welcome. Workshops cap at 10 participants.
