The Idaho Writers Guild has been established under the purview of The Cabin, a nonprofit organization that inspires and celebrates a love of reading, writing and discourse throughout Idaho and the region.
As The Cabin's primary program for adult writers, the Idaho Writers Guild offers networking, employment and educational opportunities as diverse as the writers who join it.
Because IWG operates under the umbrella of The Cabin’s non-profit status, we must require our members to also be members of The Cabin.
Costs and qualifications to join are listed below.
New Members
The cost to join, for both Roster and Associate
members, is $25.00 per year for the Idaho Writers Guild, plus Cabin membership
of $35.00 per year. Cabin membership is TAX DEDUCTIBLE AS A CHARITABLE
CONTRIBUTION. (Both memberships will extend through March 30, 2013.)
Renewing Members
- Current IWG members may renew their IWG and Cabin membership
to cover the period from April 1, 2012 through
March 30, 2013.
Qualifications
There are two categories of membership in IWG:
- To become an Associate Member, a writer must be a member of the Cabin, and an aspiring writer who is interested in participating in Idaho Writers Guild events.
- To become a Roster Member of IWG, a writer must be a member in good standing of The Cabin, and show proof of professional status by meeting one or more of the criteria below.
