»	Present the country’s most influential authors on stage at the Egyptian Theatre in our annual lecture series Readings & Conversations
»	Enhance a young person’s social growth and academic development through our Writers in the Schools program, connecting students in Idaho classrooms with professional writing instruction
»	Publish books by young writers and provide scholarships for children and youth to attend one of our award-winning Idaho Writing Camps
»	Support emerging and established writers in Idaho by creating an artistic home and connecting audiences and resources
»	Promote the joys and benefits of reading, especially during The Big Read held each spring
»	Maintain our historic building along the Boise River as one of Idaho’s cultural treasures
»	Expand opportunities for personal cultural exploration and creativity through writing workshops, readings, craft talks, and other events hosted by The Cabin
