Key Accountabilities and Job Summary
90% Financial and Payroll
10% Event Support
Financial Duties
Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for staff and teaching writers
Gather paperwork for new employees
Prepare accounts payable for all Cabin operations
Manage accounts receivable and prepare weekly deposit of funds received
Process staff credit cards
Code revenue
Manage sales at Cabin events
Create invoices
Complete monthly financial report and packet
Produce financial reports for grants
Attend occasional financial committee meetings
Manage petty cash and cash box at events
Ticketing
Assist Public Events Manager and Operations Manager with event ticketing
Mailing
Assist Patron Services manager with large mailings
Manage Pitney Bowes machine and account
Shared Duties (responsibilities of all staff members)
Attend occasional board and committee meetings
Answering phones
Greeting visitors
Keeping the building and work areas clean
Taking out trash and recycling
Staffing events
The perfect candidate would have…
Proven experience with accounts receivable/payable and payroll operation
Proficiency in Quickbooks
Database management experience
Proficiency in MSWord, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent time management skills
The ability to both work independently and as a team
Passion for the literary arts
Compensation and Opportunities
Starting Pay $17/hr.-$18.75/hr.
Simple IRA with 3% match after one year
PT vacation, sick, and holiday hours
