Job Title: Grant Writer
Reports To: Executive Director
Hours: Pt. 18/hr. week

Key Accountabilities and Job Summary
80% Manage The Cabin’s grants (currently $120,000 a year)
15% Assist with other fund development activities
5% General customer service for Cabin patrons and members
Job Duties
Manage Grants
Maintain the grant database and yearly calendar
Research, write, and submit grants
Write and submit grant reports
Research new grant opportunities based on programming needs
Work with the operations manager to create yearly grant budget
Attend grant award events
Assist with Fund Development
Attend occasional Fund Development Committee meetings
Help solicit and secure in kind donations for the annual gala silent auction
Keep statistics for programs to use for grant reports and tracking
Shared Duties (responsibilities of all staff members)
Attend occasional board and committee meetings
Answering phones
Greeting visitors
Keeping the building and work areas clean
Taking out trash and recycling
Staffing events
The perfect candidate would have…
Advanced written communication skills
Proven experience researching, writing, and securing grants
Database management experience
Proficiency in MSWord, Excel, and Outlook
The capability to ask for donations in person and over the phone
Excellent time management skills
The ability to both work independently and as a team
Passion for the literary arts
Compensation and Opportunities
Starting pay $17/hr.-$18.75/hr. Part-time 18/hr. week
Simple IRA with 3% match after one year
PT vacation, sick, and holiday hours
