The Cabin is seeking writers in the community to serve as paid teaching-writer apprentices for the WITS program over the 2023-24 school year. Apprentices will be paired with a mentor teaching-writer for 24 or 12-week residencies based on their interests and availability.

Our summer writing camps are weeklong literary adventures for Idaho kids in grades 3-12. Each camp is led by a professional writer who designs camp curriculum based on creative writing enrichment in their genre of expertise. Volunteer teaching assistants work directly with Cabin writing students and teaching writers.

We are looking for individuals to support, assist, and provide accommodations for individual campers with special health, accessibility, and behavioral needs during our 2024 Summer Writing Camps.
