The Cabin is celebrating the year’s best writing from our Writers in the Schools students and you’re invited! Students selected to have their work published in our annual Cambia anthology will share their work at our free year-end reading. Copies of the anthology will be available for sale.
Teachers, families, and friends are encouraged to attend in support of youth creative writing! Refreshments will be served (and if you don’t want to stay the full time, The Modern is right across the street)!
No RSVP is necessary. Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the Linen Building and on nearby streets and parking garages. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Megan Ramey at (208) 331-8000 with questions.

WRITERS IN THE SCHOOLS (WITS) at The Cabin supports creative writing enrichment in 3rd-12th-grade classrooms throughout the Treasure Valley. During the school year, The Cabin employs professional local writers—poets, novelists, playwrights, and journalists—to teach semester- or school-year-long writing residencies in schools, juvenile detention centers, and community learning centers. Through active, imaginative writing experiences under the mentorship of The Cabin’s teaching-writers, WITS engages students in the pleasure and power of reading and writing.
CAMBIA is our annual anthology of the year’s best writing by WITS students.
