DROP-IN WORKSHOP is The Cabin’s free and open writing workshop, held from 6:30 – 8:00 PM on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Drop-in is hosted by writers Danny Stewart, Heidi Kraay, and other guest writers who create unique prompts designed to inspire a supportive community of local writers. No RSVP required. Lesson is designed for full hour-and-a-half attendance so come early (or a little late) and snag a seat!

July’s 1st Tuesday workshop is taught by Teaching-Writer Heidi Kraay!
Playwright Heidi Kraay examines the connection between brain and body, seeking empathy with fractured characters. Her work pulls myth, metaphor and monsters together to attempt connections across difference. Plays include see in the dark, How To Hide Your Monster, New Eden, Me and My Shadow and Kilgore, as well as several co-devised plays, one-acts, plays for young audiences and short plays. Her work has been presented in Boise, regionally and in NYC, most recently through Trinity Street Players (Austin), Thingamajig Theatre Company (Pagosa Springs, CO), the Alternative Theater Company (NYC), Idaho State University (Pocatello), Boise Contemporary Theater, Migration Theory, Opal Theatre Company, the National Winter Playwrights Retreat & Workshop (Creede, CO), HomeGrown Theatre, id Theater (NYC) and Seven Devils Playwrights Conference (McCall). Heidi holds an MFA in Creative Inquiry, Interdisciplinary Arts from California Institute of Integral Studies. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America. www.heidikraay.com
