This workshop, open to writers of all experience levels, will focus on the role ritual can play in one’s writing life. Do you write at the same time every day, use one particular pen, light a candle, or call on other strategies to invoke and invite creative magic? In the spirit of the season, we’ll look at examples of divinatory practices like bibliomancy and tarot in hopes of activating new approaches to writing. There will be readings, prompts, and exercises geared at generating new poems, and you’ll have plenty of time to share any existing work that might benefit from fresh eyes.
This is a 2-week workshop that will meet on the following Saturdays from 1 – 3 PM:
- January 18th
- January 25th
