Winter Shorts: A Playwriting Workshop

February 13, 2020 @ 6:30 PM - March 19, 2020 @ 8:30 PM

Event Navigation

Something happened to you and you thought, “That could be a play.” Now it can – or five plays. In this playwriting workshop for writers across disciplines, we’ll explore shorts and beginnings, ten-minute and micro-plays, works that can grow to full-length or live their best as a tiny form. Each week, we’ll dive into a new set of possibilities for creating short pieces for the stage and share tips for preparing scripts for submission opportunities. By the end, you’ll have a collection of small stories for performance that you can keep developing as one-act nuggets or even fuse together into a larger form. All experience levels welcome.

This is a 6-week workshop that will meet on the following Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:30 PM:

  • February 13th
  • February 20th
  • February 27th
  • March 5th
  • March 12th
  • March 19th
