Job Title: Communications and Marketing Manager

Reports To: Executive Director

Part Time 25/hr. week

 

Key Accountabilities

  • 70% Marketing and Advertising

  • 10% Website Management

  • 20% Patron Communications

 

Software/App Skills 

  • Database/list management (we currently use OvationTix as a ticketing database software)

  • Squarespace 

  • MailChimp (or comparable email marketing platform) 

  • Zapier 

  • Buffer (or comparable social media scheduler) 

  • Canva

  • General understanding of Adobe Creative Suite 

  • Facebook Ads Manager 

  • Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

 

Job Duties

Website Management

  • Manage all website content

  • Proof and post all public-facing web copy

  • Coordinate with staff to get programming information on website in a timely manner

 

Marketing and Advertising

  • Schedule, build, write primary copy, edit, and send out email newsletters

  • Coordinate with Program Manager and other staff to create marketing plans and advertise public programs        

  • Coordinate with Patron Services to plan welcome emails and digital acknowledgements 

  • Maintain social media and promotions calendar

  • Manage and create social media posts with assistance from interns

  • Create additional print marketing collateral as needed 

  • Hire and manage graphic designer contractors where needed

  • Work with budget team to create yearly marketing and advertising budget

  • Manage marketing lists in OvationTix database.

  • Maintain and update Cabin brand guides

 

Patron Communications

  • Manage and lead communications to Readings & Conversations ticketholders

  • Design invitations and other fundraising collateral in consultation with the Development Manager and Fund Development Committee

  • Design, edit, and manage the creation of the annual report with Development Manager and Executive Director

       

 

 

Shared Duties (all Cabin Staff are responsible for these)

  • Attend occasional board and committee meetings

  • Answering phones

  • Greeting visitors

  • Keeping the building and work areas clean

  • Taking out trash and recycling

  • Staffing events

Starting Pay 17/hr.-18.75/hr.
