Chris DeVore
Finance Manager
Chris previously served as The Cabin's Grants Manager from 2021 to 2026, learning that behind every great literary pursuit is a budget that makes it possible. He also edits The Whistle Pig literary journal, serves on the Board of Directors for Arts Northwest, and believes stories are one of the better ways to make sense of a place. Raised in Polson, Montana, and educated at the University of Puget Sound, he now lives in Mountain Home, Idaho, with his wife, Hannah. Their three children and son-in-law are collectively pursuing biology, veterinary science, dance, engineering, nursing, baseball and personal training—though not necessarily in that order.
“In real life try to be nice. It will save you a hell of a lot of trouble and give you more time to write.”
–Richard Hugo, The Triggering Town: Lectures and Essays on Poetry and Writing
