Megan Williams is The Cabin’s Development & Communications Manager. This means she’s in charge of making The Cabin’s brand loveable and writing you emails, letters, thank you notes, etc. Megan holds a BA in Creative Writing, Music, and Gender Studies from The College of Idaho (2008) and an MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College (2010). Before joining The Cabin’s staff, Megan ran literary events through Big Tree Arts and was the founder of Ghosts & Projectors. a poetry reading series, which is now a Cabin program. A runner-up for the 2011 Discovery/Boston Review poetry prize, Megan published poems in Tin House, PANK, Vinyl Poetry, Mudlark, and other journals once upon a time and is currently working on a series of poems in collaboration with the Mystical Cats Tarot that grapple with the question “How can I be a better human?” She also really enjoys watching her toddler color large-scale, abstract landscapes, playing the same five Tori Amos songs on the piano over and over, and serving as her house’s armchair herbalist. She hasn’t killed any houseplants this year.
