Join the decorated author of novels Homeland Elegies and American Dervish, and Broadway plays Junk and Disgraced, the latter winning the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, joins The Cabin to talk about his forthcoming novel, The Radiance.


The event will be on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 PM (doors at 6:30 PM) at The Egyptian Theatre in Boise (700 W. Main Street, Boise, ID 83702).

This event is part of The Cabin’s 2026-27 Readings & Conversations series.


About the Author

Ayad Akhtar is a novelist and playwright whose work has been published and performed in over two dozen languages. He is the author of Homeland Elegies and American Dervish, and his Broadway plays include McNeal, Junk, Disgraced, and many others. He is the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the Edith Wharton Citation of Merit for Fiction, and an Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. In 2021, Akhtar was named the New York State Author, succeeding Colson Whitehead, by the New York State Writers Institute.
