Novels, Class Two: Outlining a Novel, Another Approach: A Writing Workshop with Boise City Writer-in-Residence Matthew Denton-Edmundson

  • The Cabin 801 S Capitol Blvd. Boise, Idaho, 83702 United States (map)

The first class on novel drafting took a structured approach. But that’s not the only way to write a novel—far from it. Participants will discuss writer Jesse Ball’s odd approach as well as Robert Olen Butler’s even odder notecard method. And Jane Allison’s Meander, Spiral, Explode. The group will talk about the balance between structure and free-wheeling inspiration.

No registration is required, but space is limited. This workshop is geared toward writers of all levels and genres. Please bring writing materials, such as a notebook and pen.
